A special program dedicated to engineering and other issues related to high-performance vehicles will highlight this year's annual gathering.

During his three years working for Mazda in Japan, Phil Martens spent a lot of time behind the wheel as a member of the Mazda race team, driving the likes of RX7s and Miata Roadsters on a Formula One course and other, less challenging tracks. Since returning to the U.S. more than a year ago in a position of greater responsibility with Ford, he hasn't been able to find room on his agenda for racing.

The Group Vice President - Product Creation, North America, has his hands full helping to see that the design, engineering, and development of all Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars and light trucks are done in a way that makes Ford and its affiliates winners in the minds of consumers.
