Does SAE Mobilus allow for organizational login using Single Sign On? 

Yes, SAE Mobilus allows organizational login utilizing single sign-on via Shibboleth. Participating Federations include DFN-AAI, InCommon, OpenAthens and UK Access Management Federations.

Shibboleth is a standards based, open source software package enabling web-based single sign-on authentication across or within organizational boundaries. The Shibboleth® technology delivers single sign-on and federated administration of protected resources. Information is exchanged between an SAE International customer (Identity Provider) and the SAE MOBILUS platform (Service Provider), allowing seamless access to SAE content without providing additional login credentials.

 

What are the benefits of using Single Sign On? 

Key benefits to customers and end-users are three-fold:

• Administrative Convenience – it will reduce the number of login credentials a user has to remember to access external resources that their library has provided to them, reducing the burden of username/password administration.
• Easier Resource Administration – users will not have to manage access to the SAE Digital Library differently from other library resources.  One username/password works for all without the library managing anything.
• User Convenience –university’s current access to the SAE Digital Library via IP authentication and/or username and password remains unchanged. Shibboleth access is one more convenient way for users to get to SAE International’s content.

 

How do I login via SSO, or setup access? 

If you have Institutional Access to SAE Mobilus using a predetermined organizational login utilizing single-sign-on (Shibboleth), please login directly by selecting your institution name from the dropdown menu. Please contact your administrator at your institution if your institution is not listed among the options.

Mobilus administrators can contact their respective SAE Sales Representative if they have any questions around enabling access for your institution. You will be provided with a sign-up form URL to complete the process.

  

 

Will SSO work the same with the classic and new Mobilus websites?

Yes, once you are logged in with SSO or through any of the other login modes into either website (Mobilus beta or Mobilus classic), your credentials as well as access to content will work seamlessly across both websites.
