- This revised standard is intended to be layered over the SAE J1127 and SAE J1128 (passenger car) standards in applications involving heavy-duty truck, trailer and bus. It contains more rigorous quality requirements in the areas of strand splicing and tightens the dimensional requirements to assure more uniform connector sealing.
