- AS81531 was developed to replace MIL-M-81531. MIL-M-81531 was canceled without replacement. Therefore, AS81531 needs to be cancelled without replacement. SAE AS5942 (Marking of Electrical Insulating Materials) is reference for Users because it contains the modern, state-of-the-art processes for indirectly marking electrical insulating materials.
