Scope

Content: This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) recommends design and test criteria for reusable shipping and storage containers for aircraft engines and modules, weapon systems and components, etc. The containers are to provide water-vaporproof and physical protection.

Rationale

Content: This revision updates applicable referenced documents throughout. A section on foam vibration and shock isolation systems for military applications was incorporated as well as a section on environmental health and safety. The document was also updated to reflect more precise terms used in identifying parts of containers throughout.
