In order to insure that the remanufactured and/or rebuilt steering gear has and maintains the reliability and performance associated with a new OEM steering gear, it is essential that the following procedures be followed; if in-house engineering capabilities are limited, it may be necessary to consult with an outside laboratory to insure all testing methods used meet with the requirements outlined in this paper.
The Service Committee is part of the Service Development Technical Steering Committee that reports to the Motor Vehicle Council (MVC). The Cmmittee is responsible for developing and maintaining SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, and Information Reports related to design, development, maintenance and repair of all highway vehicles, which improves vehicle serviceability and repair including parts remanufacture. The service for current and future light duty highway vehicles is improved through reduced cost and ease of maintenance and repair. The committee's goal is to publish practical guidelines for towing and lifting cars and light trucks and develop new standards for wiring diagram development specifically electronic media preparation.

Wild Cards
Using the asterisk, ( * ) allows you to search for a partial word. For example, entering a keyword search of aero* will search for any word beginning with aero.

Using Quotes
Words in double quotes " " are treated as a phrase. Conducting a search for "heat model" will return all results in which the exact phrase "heat model" is found, while "heat modeling" would NOT be included.
