Welcome to the SAE S-9B Cabin Interiors and Furnishings Committee public forum area. The SAE S-9B Cabin Interiors and Furnishings Committee develops air transport industry standards and recommended practices that address the design and/or performance of cabin interiors and furnishings that enhance the safety and survivability of aircraft passengers and crew in emergency situations. The S-9B committee also provides a forum for the exchange of information relating to aircraft cabin interiors and furnishings, including consideration of operational, human factors, and ergonomics issues. It identifies the needs and encourage research in the design, performance, and/or implementation of cabin interiors and furnishings, including consideration of operational, human factors, and ergonomics issues. It also advises, consults and cooperates with industry, government, aviation organizations, other standardization bodies, and others on matters relating to cabin interiors and furnishings issues.
