Content: This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of plate 0.250 to 4.000 inch (6.35 to 102.0 mm) inclusive, in nominal thickness (see 8.5).

Rationale

Content: AMS4250C results from a limited scope ballot to restore property requirements for thicknesses between 2.500 inches and 4.000 inches (63.5 to 102.0 mm), which were inadvertently deleted at revision B, and prohibits unauthorized exceptions (3.6).
