- Gas emissions have become a consideration in automobile design. Materials used in automobiles are known to emit gases, and the rate at which such emissions are produced vary in relation to atmosphere and temperature. The purpose of this paper is to propose differential flow analysis as a gas emission measurement technique. Emissions are determined by calculating the difference between the volume of gas flow into and out of a closed chamber. Information about a liquid or solid sample may be obtained under a range of atmospheres, thermal treatments, flow rates, and pressures.
