Strategy of Development of Products in the Brazilian Auto Industry

Abstract
We have adopted Cusumano's model to analyse the development strategy of the Brazilian car industry. Although originally focused on new products, this methodology is useful to characterize the industry's changing strategies. Here we present some public available data but a research project is underway with a more detailed data collection process.
