High Speed Constant Velocity Joints for Car and Light Truck Driveshafts

Abstract
This paper reviews the Constant Velocity Joint technology available for Passenger Car and Light Truck driveshafts. It discusses performance requirements of various driveline configurations and analyses design characteristics and application limits of high speed constant velocity joints. A new generation of driveshaft joints is introduced and novel joint concepts are presented.
