Abstract
This paper presents the current situation concerning CAE/CAD/CAM integration needs and the appliance of such technologies to support the information handling within enterprises. Also, the reasons to adopt new project management techniques have been considered and the support given to Concurrent Engineering by the use of computer aided technologies have been emphasised. The paper is based on a case study regarding generation and modification of schematic diagrams; thus a system for automatically perform such activities is presented.
