Abstract
More than transportation technology of the future, the first Mexican Solar Race Car-Tonatiuh-is intended to motivate reflection on low-polluting energy-efficient vehicles. It is hoped that the discussions generated will broaden perspectives and serve as a catalyst for the transfer of Electric Vehicle Technology from the R&D sector to mass production.
