Abstract
The design and optimization of automobile systems are normally performed using one discrete position of the vehicle c.g. (centre of gravity).
This work develops an alternative form for the above activities, using the “static equilibrium” or “centre of gravity envelope” technique, for the calculation of maximum dynamic weights that occur at he axles and in the wheels of an accelerating or decelerating automobile on any type of surface.
