Abstract
Investigations have been conducted to evaluate the durability of the aluminum air to air charged air coolers that are subjected to elevated temperatures and pressures created by the turbo chargers installed on today's heavy vehicle engines. This paper will show the experimental findings and the procedures that have been implemented to increase the durability of aluminum charge air coolers at the more strenuous conditions.
