Abstract
The paper describes in detail the hydraulic phenomena in all sections of the nozzle and the dynamics of the needle of the Diesel nozzle. The hydraulic phenomena is described in the case of pure fuel in the nozzle and also in the case of a two - phase mixture of fuel-fuel vapour when the pressure drops below the vapour pressure of fuel. The influence of the combustion pressure on the needle movement is analysed briefly. The mathematical model which describes the diesel nozzle is solved numerically by the Runge - Kutta method of the fourth order.
