Authors Abstract
Content
Experiments were conducted in which an inverter was configured by connecting two Cs-Ba tacitrons, with alternating voltage grid control, in a push-pull mode. The inverter operated at a discharge current of up to 3.5 A, collector voltage of 25 V, conduction voltage drop of 3 - 3.5 V, and modulation frequencies up to 20 kHz. When the grid aperture diameter was reduced from 0.8 to 0.4 mm, it was possible to operate the inverter at discharge currents up to 13.5 A, collector voltage of 24 V and a conduction voltage drop of 4 V.
