Abstract
We are presenting a communications technology that permits the transmission and receipt of commands and information in the automobile, using characteristics similar to local network microcontrollers. This type of technology is usually known as multiplexing in the automobile world.
In this paper (based in [ALVARENGA]) we give details about our studies and the practical portion of a multiplexed system using the CAN protocol, in a form which can be used on a workbench, because of the necessity to make an evaluation of the viabilities of this kind of project in Brasilian automobiles.
