Authors Abstract
Content
Cost savings, weight reduction and safety along with styling freedom and simplified manufacturing, are possible for an ever-increasing variety of automotive components through the use of engineering thermoplastics. Vehicle seating, however, remains a special challenge. A major worldwide supplier of plastics materials is helping to meet the challenge with a full-scale independent seat development program-the Engineering Plastics Car Seat.
The Engineering Plastics Car Seat is a fully developed prototype seat which demonstrates the possibilities for performance, cost and weight advantages using injection-molded plastics.
