Authors Abstract
Content
To establish the advanced quality planning of elastomeric seals, it is not sufficient only to test the function of the constituent parts. The qualitative aptitude has additionally to be assured during the development stage as well as later on, during the production process. Regarding the production of, for example, radial shaft lip type seals, valve stem seals, or engine cover gaskets, design and process capability, automatic process control, and also the automated final control are constantly gaining in significance. From this point of view, the producer of elastomeric seals tries to close the quality circle with various characteristics and structures of quality tasks.
