EICAS, the Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System installed on the Boeing 757 and 767 airplanes, is a digital computer system using cathode ray tube displays to monitor and indicate propulsion and airplane subsystem information for the operation and maintenance of the airplane. This paper deals with operating experience during the first year of service on the 767. The paper will be presented from two views, Boeing and the first 767 customer, United Airlines.
