Authors Abstract
Content
Although we have a great deal of knowledge and technology emanating from research and development efforts, only a small percentage is being adapted to the civilian market. This author suggests that much of this resource concerns systems and devices applicable to very special purpose systems. Nevertheless he believes that these extensive data harbor the “seedlings” of products that need only to be treated with the elements of good design in order to become marketable. His definitions of design elements and their application offer solutions to the civilian use of this source of ideas.
