In a car, the brake system is vitally important to ensure the safety of its occupants and to carry out operations to reduce the kinetic and potential energy of a car. The brake system must work efficiently in any type of terrain and in the most varied conditions of time and skill of the driver. Thus, thermal analysis and stick-slip phenomenon are extremely important to analyze how thermal energy, responsible for the vehicle's braking, is distributed by the brake pad and to implement improvements so that the system's performance is intensified. This work aims to analyze the effect of the stick-slip phenomenon on the braking of a single-seat off-road vehicle, in order to verify if it is possible to improve the performance in braking tests, such as braking distance and wheel locking. In addition, an attempt is made to verify that the brake disc fails during an endurance test.
