Abstract
The charge air cooler inlet hose’s primary function is to move the pressurized and heated airflow from the turbine to charge air cooler, which will cool the air before it returns to the engine throttle body in order to allow enhanced combustion efficiency, engine performance and fuel economy, while reduces exhaust emissions. Failure in the CAC hoses primary function may not only cause customer dissatisfaction due to lower performance, smoke and noise, but a major hose burst failure [figure1] could result in sudden loss of power.
