Abstract
This paper presents newly developed road resistance coefficient estimation control logic with G-sen(Gravity sensor) that is designed to optimize the gear shifting point for automatic transmission. The system consists of PCU(Power train Control Unit) which is controlling engine and transmission, and G-sen which possible to measure the real time road slope. Using longitudinal vehicle dynamic modeling with model based method; it is possible to estimate the real time road resistance coefficient and vehicle mass
