Abstract
Electric vehicles are no more the energy and power independent vehicles from the grid. Thus the impact of EVs' to the grid should be considered in the case of the more demand with the spread of EVs in the future. On the other hand, the power feeding technologies to the mobile vehicles have been established in the electric railway systems. This can be good example to study the impact of the EV's to the power grid. The impact by the power charging to a battery powered railway vehicle to the power grid are studied in this paper. It is revealed that the distributed energy storage devices on the ground are effective measure to reduce the impact to the power grid.
