Abstract
The reduction of thermal models of instruments is one of the typical activities of the thermal engineer that are often performed at the end of TCS design activities in order to provide a simplified model for analysis at higher level. For these reasons, this activity has to be carried out the most efficiently and rapidly as possible.
The paper presents the reduction process applied to the thermal model of the IRES N2 instrument of GALILEO AVIONICA Firenze that has been performed at BLUE GROUP Turin. The process is based on an automatic iterative procedure that involves a stochastic optimisation for generating the final reduced thermal mathematical model.
