Abstract
A new analysis tool for crash tests in the field of vehicle development provides total functionality for the evaluation and documentation of tests in the area of vehicle safety and passenger protection. Since, apart from the evaluation and graphical depiction, the administration of the tests is also supported, the software is an indispensable aid to fulfill the automobile industry's responsibility to provide safety evidence.
All the tasks that follow the crash test can be carried out with CrashBase. A “Quicklook” function makes it possible to quickly view the data and to subject it to a first validation check. Reworking, such as offset correction or zero-point displacement, is also possible. A number of crash-specific filtering and evaluation functions are available for the actual evaluation that fulfill the standards and governmental regulations of America and numerous European countries.
