Mobile Data Acquisition and Analysis

Efficient mobile data acquisition is crucial to the success of off-road transmission development. Special channel needs precluded the use of off-the-shelf software products. Therefore, customized software needed to be developed which would utilize a combination of current and new hardware. This new software includes several user-friendly features, including a mouse-activated zoom feature, on-screen channel identification, and filtering. Also, the new software takes advantage of new hardware in the form of PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) cards, which assisted in reducing the time to view data.
